Wamuran Team

Hi My name is Jacki Hattersley,

I started working in Childcare by studying through a traineeship, which is where I first found my passion for working with children. During my first year in childcare I completed a Cert 3 in Children’s Services and enjoyed every minute of it. It was amazing to see those tiny humans blossom into independent, confident children. In 2013, I decided to further my studies and complete a Diploma of Children’s Services.

Child care is my passion and I feel lucky to get to do this for my career. I’ve been apart of the Kids Capers company for 4 and a half year and have loved working for such an amazing company. I’m excited for this new role as centre manager and the opportunities this will provide to work with children, families and staff. I look forward to working here at Kids Capers Wamuran and seeing what the future has in store.

Please do don’t hesitate to talk to me and I will help in any way that I can.

Facilities & Programs

Kids Capers Wamuran is a quiet and home-like rural centre located opposite the Wamuran State School. We have four rooms that open up onto two large outdoor play areas. We cater for children from 6 weeks to school age. We also offer a Government Approved Kindergarten Program with a qualified Early Childhood Teacher following the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). Our Educators aim to provide a creative and meaningful program that encourages a love of learning and prepares children for school.

Our program is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) with the belief that through play babies and young children explore and learn to understand the world around them as they come to communicate, discover, imagine and create.

Our playgrounds have been renovated and extended to include a more natural play-scape including our log slide, sand kitchen and cubby house. Our centre were the finalists in the 'Regional Recycler Competition' and we are very proud of our thriving vegetable garden.

We believe our greatest asset is our team of qualified, committed and caring Educators throughout our centre.  We welcome you to call or visit us to meet the team and view our centre at any time.
