We are a family owned and operated business on the north side of Brisbane. We opened our founding centre in Clayfield in 2003. With a background in design and development we embraced the chance to create something that would enrich the community and its surrounds. Whether it is a state of the art new structure or converting a heritage listed church, each Kids Capers Centre is a unique concept.
We believe the success of our company lies with our dedicated Educators. Each centre operates individually with an experienced and dedicated Centre Manager who oversees his or her team of Educators. Support Managers oversee and assist the Centre Managers. Being part of this community allows us to share a wealth of knowledge, experience and talent.
With over 950 families and over 200 Educators, Kids Capers has become firmly entrenched in communities from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast, creating a safe and secure environment that families can trust.
Kids Capers existing centres include natural playscapes where you might find logs, rocks, timber cubby houses, creek beds, mud kitchens and even chook pens.
We look forward to welcoming you to our family at Kids Capers Childcare.
Chief Executive Officer
Hi, my name is Emma Murphy,
I have been working with Kids Capers since 2008, starting as an Assistant Educator at our Clayfield Centre then progressing into Management in 2011, and in 2019 moved into the role of CEO for the company.
I hold my Diploma of Children’s Services and am currently studying my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) through the Australian Catholic University.
I love every aspect of my position, whether this be helping project manage one of our new sites, managing the overall operations of the company or supporting our Leadership team to create the best outcomes for Children, Families and our Educators.
I am extremely passionate about the Early Years and providing a play-based, child centred curriculum for children. I believe it is essential to build trusting relationships and that it is my responsibility to ensure that the highest quality care is provided to our community.
