Being part of the local community is important to us and we would like to share with you what our centres have been participating in!
When Kids Capers North Lakes were in the early stages of planning a wellbeing project they were unaware it would blossom into something truly transformational. Read how they used the Be You Action Team handbook, Family Partnerships and Early Support domains to help implement a whole learning community approach to mental health and wellbeing.
Here at Kids Capers Childcare we are taking an active part in caring for our community with the children.
As a part of our commitment to caring for our environment, the kindergarten classes from Kids Capers North Lakes went on an excursion recently to our community’s “adopt-a-spot”.
For the past 2 years, our service has had the community responsibility of making trips throughout the year to clean up our adopted area. We love the experience of getting out into the community and being care takers of our environment.
A big thank you,
to our families and educators who have contributed these lovely bags and suitable items for the Care Bags Project!
These will be given out to children in foster care as our way of saying ‘We do care!’
