Kindergarten Program

All Kids Capers Centres provide the Queensland Government-approved kindergarten program. This program provides an educational curriculum by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. This program is designed to help your child develop a love of learning and be better prepared to transition to school. 


In our kindergarten program our learning goals include:

  • Use language to communicate ideas, feelings and needs.
  • Make friends and learn how to cooperate with other children.
  • Become more independent and confident in their abilities.
  • Learn how to self-regulate.
  • Use their creativity to express ideas and feelings.
  • Identify, explore and solve problems.

Our kindergarten program focuses on growing self-confidence, self-esteem, independence and a love of learning within a play based environment. The routine is flexible, relaxed and altered to suit the growing needs of the kindergarten group. It allows for both spontaneous and planned experiences stemming from children's current strengths and interests.


In addition, a portfolio of work is compiled for every child to capture their unique creativity and expression whilst regular communication with parents is maintained to keep you informed about the progress of your child's day.

Hi my name is Kate Cater,


I have been a member of the tight-knit Kids Capers family since 2010 and have worked in various roles across a number of Centres. I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood from QUT and have worked in the Early Education and Care sector since 2004. 


As Educational Leader at Kids Capers Childcare I oversee the provision of ‘Educational Program and Practice’. The aim of my role is to motivate, inspire and instil knowledge in Educators, which will ensure that both program and practice is stimulating and engaging and enhances the children’s learning and development.


When I’m not on the floor observing interactions and mentoring Educators, I am developing documentation tools and training to ensure the best outcomes for children in our care, delivered by the best supported and skilled Educators.
