Mango Hill Team

Nominated Supervisor and Centre Manager

My name is Amanda Nitschke and I am honoured and privileged to be the Centre Manager

and Nominated Supervisor at Kids Capers Childcare Mango Hill.

I hold a Diploma of Children’s Services and I have 5 years of experience in the early childhood industry, starting off as a classroom educator in the nursery and proceeded to hold various roles including Lead Educator and Educational leader.

I joined the Capers family in 2016 and supported the opening of our Kids Capers Northgate centre. This provided me with the exposure to learn new skills and the opportunity to join the management team, initially as the Assistant Manager at our Clayfield centre and subsequently moving to our wonderful Mango Hill centre.

I am passionate about the Early Years Learning Framework and providing a play-based teaching program for children. I aim to give our team of Educators the teaching platforms they need to provide the best quality care and education, ensuring that every child in our care receive the best possible outcomes in relation to their identity, connection with community, wellbeing, confidence as learners and effectiveness as communicators.

Our team of committed Educators would love to show you around our beautiful centre so please feel free to give us a call or email us to book an appointment. I look forward to meeting your family at our amazing centre.

Centre Manager

My name is Farah Md Nor and I have been working here at our beautiful Kids Capers Childcare Mango Hill centre since 2012. I am honoured and privileged to be the Centre Manager and Nominated Supervisor at Kids Capers Childcare Mango Hill.

I started off as an Early Childhood Teacher in the kindergarten room whilst completing my Master of Early Childhood Education. I stepped into the Assistant Centre Manager’s role in 2016 and feel privileged that I am able to continue building relationships with our families in this lovely community, with many returning back to our centre with their subsequent offspring!

Over the years, I am proud to be involved with the growth of this centre, both physically and aesthetically, while we lay the foundation in the hearts and minds of our little ones. Meeting the needs of the children while supporting their growth and development has always been, and will continue to be, our top priority as we work in partnership with our families so that every child in our care feels safe, secure and supported.

Amanda and I look forward to welcoming you to our centre and be a part of our Mango Hill family.

Facilities & Programs

Here at Kids Capers Mango Hill, we are a 127 place centre, providing care for children from 6 weeks to school age with 8 air conditioned rooms that open to spacious outdoor play spaces. Our unique outdoor teaching program includes chickens, guinea pigs, and a native bee hive. We have designed a natural teaching space on half an acre to give children the opportunity to learn outdoors.  We also provide all meals delivered by our qualified cook, using locally sourced seasonal produce

We believe that all children should feel a sense of belonging to their environment and we encourage each child to be able to make decisions that influence the world around them. Each child's learning is specific to their Interests and needs, allowing for many wonderful learning opportunities to take place.

Our interactive educational software gives families the opportunity to stay connected with their children and Educators to be able to watch, learn and participate every step of the way in their child’s growth and development.

Our vision is to get back to nature and give children the opportunity to learn about sustainability, agriculture and horticulture. Teaching children the importance of our environment and embracing the beautiful nature, lakes and gardens that surround our centre in the Mango Hill community.

We look forward to meeting you and your family.

Centre Philosophy

Kids Capers Mango Hill Centre Philosophy
“We would like to recognise the traditional owners of this land, the Gubbi Gubbi people, on whose land we build our community today”.

Our Children..
are capable individuals who will develop in their own time to create their own self-identity. We believe children’s happiness, health, wellbeing and safety is paramount and our primary role is to nurture each individual child’s sense of belongingbeing and becoming. We highly encourage our children to express their agency and individuality – whether its singing to their hearts content, dancing in the rain, or crying out loud in frustration - and we are here to hold their hand, offer our hugs, a listening ear or simply providing them with their own personal space, while they develop their independence, resilience and emotional regulation.

Our Environment..
will be warm and welcoming for the children to feel safe and inclusive, while we nurture and promote every child’s natural desire for learning and spark their curiosity. We endeavour to strike a balance between chaos and calmness, with each having its own purpose in the children’s learning and development. We are privileged to have a vast area of natural surroundings which provides our children with numerous opportunities to engage in outdoor play and interact with animals to help develop a respectful relationship with the environment.

Our Educators..
are committed to uphold the rights of every child through developing nurturing and trusting relationships with our children and families. PLAY is what we do best – it is a powerful and important activity and we believe in playing with the children, and with each other,
every day at work, to have fun and provide a positive influence on children’s social, physical, emotional and cognitive development. We strive to work as a team, accepting and valuing our differences while embracing our cultural diversity.

Our Community..
plays a vital role in contributing towards the overall wellbeing and development of our children. Our goal is to foster mutually respectful partnerships with families in the context of a culturally diverse community, while actively incorporate learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their culture. We also love organising incursions and excursions to enable our children to embrace new experiences while developing connections with the wider community.
