Welcome to Kids Capers CLAYFIELD

Kids Capers Clayfield is a welcoming place for all children aged six weeks to six years old. We are a 170 place service with 9 learning spaces over 2 Centres and have been a part of the Clayfield community since 2005. We are fortunate to have multiple outdoor learning environments for all children to explore whether this be opportunities for children to climb and explore their gross motor skills, exploring the open grassed areas or investigating water play opportunities in our man-made creek in Centre 1 or demisters and waterspouts in Centre 2.

Here at Capers Clayfield, we are fortunate to have a Culturally diverse team who share their culture and passion with us daily.  This is also reflected in our Monthly Calendar of Events in which our children, educators, families and wider community are all invited to contribute to, ensuring that all cultures, beliefs and values are reflected and explored.

Our Centre Families and Community is extremely important to us here at Capers Clayfield.  We are fortunate to be surrounded by families who too believe that our community is important and are always right beside us in hosting and participating in various Fundraising events throughout the year. Recently, one of our Families arranged for Dutch Pancakes to be available to our families in celebration of Pancake Day at this event we also took the opportunity to raise much needed funds for our local Act for Kids branch in Wooloowin.

You may have heard that we have some very friendly and noisy residence who call Centre 2 home in our Urban Farm.  We are very lucky here at Capers Clayfield to have sheep, goats and chickens available for our children to experience. Each day our Kindergarten pop on their gumboots and head into the animal pen to hand feed our sheep, goats, and chickens.  The children assist in filling up the water for the animals and attending to their needs.  We have incorporated sustainable practices into this space by collecting fruit and vegetables scraps from the kitchen and children’s rooms after mealtimes which we feed to the animals daily.

We are so excited to welcome you through our door and show your around Kids Capers Clayfield.

We offer an approved kindergarten program which follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG). Our Kindergarten area features extensive outdoor play spaces that challenge and assist in building coordination and agility, as well as encourage children to play with others. There is also a small animal farm enabling children to interact, to care and to be gentle with animals. Feeding times are often a highlight in the Centre.

As a Centre, we have a received an overall rating of’ Exceeding the National Quality Standards’ and strive to continue to develop and grow our Centre and team to exceed the expectations of the families who entrust their children into our care.
