Kylee Stevens

Miss Kylee is our Operations Manager & Support Manager for Kids Capers Childcare. Miss Kylee’s career in Early Childhood began in 2000 and holds a Diploma in Children’s Services. Miss Kylee has been apart of the Kids Capers family since 2010.

What does Miss Kylee love most about working for Kids Capers Childcare? 

Miss Kyle loves that our shared vision is children first, that our point of difference is our staff and that we are always supported in our role. 

What is Miss Kylee passionate about in the Early Years? 

Miss Kylee is passionate about the development of our little people, that we have the ability to show children all the wonder in our world and that we learn as we teach.

Sophie Ahearne

Miss Sophie is one of our Support Managers for Kids Capers Childcare. Miss Sophie’s career in Early Childhood began in 2013 and holds an Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and a Diploma in Business Leadership and Management. Miss Sophie has been apart of the Kids Capers family since 2017.

What does Miss Sophie love most about working for Kids Capers Childcare?

Kids Capers is Miss Sophie’s family, and she loves the growth and opportunities that the company provides. Miss Sophie always feels like a valued member of the team and not just a number.

What is Miss Sophie passionate about in the Early Years?

Miss Sophie is passionate about creating a safe space for children to grow and learn. The Early Years are the most important years of a child’s education and Miss Sophie feels so privileged to play such a big role in supporting children with this. Miss Sophies motto each day is love laughter and learning.

Miss Jac is one of our Support Managers for Kids Capers Childcare. Miss Jac’s career in Early Childhood began in 2016 and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Miss Jac has been apart of the Kids Capers family since 2016.

Miss Sharna is one of our Support Manager for Kids Capers Childcare. Miss Sharna’s career in Early Childhood began in 2010 and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Miss Sharna has been apart of the Kids Capers family since 2018.

What does Miss Sharna love most about working for Kids Capers Childcare?

Miss Sharna loves support and welcoming environments. Everyone is always so happy and friendly, and she loves that welcoming feeling anywhere throughout Kids Capers Childcare.

What is Miss Sharna passionate about in the Early Years?

Miss Sharna is passionate about our communities and inclusion. Miss Sharna wants to make each child feel like we are their community and families surrounding, aware that we are a safe haven for anyone. Miss Sharna has a lot of passion for welcoming and making every child and family feel included in everything we do.

Brodie Jones

Miss Brodie is the Assistant Manager at our Mango Hill Centre. Miss Brodie’s career in Early Childhood began in 2013 and holds a Diploma of Children’s Services. Miss Brodie has been apart of the Kids Capers family since 2014.

What does Miss Brodie love most about working for Kids Capers Childcare?

Miss Brodie feels that Kids Capers Childcare is her home away from home. Leadership opportunities for personal and career development are always available. Miss Brodie feels very supported within the company.

What is Miss Brodie passionate about in the Early Years?

Miss Brodie is passionate about the first five years as these are the foundation for the rest of the child’s life. Miss Brodie aims to create a warm, safe and nurturing environment for every child to feel valued and appreciated to ensure they create a sense of belonging, being and becoming.

What made Miss Brodie apply for the Company Educational Leader Role?

Miss Brodie feels an educational leader is an important part of a team and one that she has always admired. Being able to support a team of educators to create best outcomes for children is Miss Brodies biggest goal and passion. As a Leader, Miss Brodie’s aim is to support, motivate and guide educators to provide this through collaborative partnerships, mentoring opportunities and challenging educators pedagogy. Miss Brodie aims to lead the development and implementation of the educational program, assessment and planning cycle with enthusiasm.

Collette Cousins

Miss Collette is our Excursion Leader, Bus Drive & Facilitates a Junior Builders Program for Kids Capers Childcare. Miss Collette’s career started in 2010 and holds a Diploma in Children’s Services. Miss Collette has been apart of the Kids Capers family since 2010.

Company Inclusion Leader

Cherie Lee

Miss Cherie is our Company Inclusion Leader for Kids Capers Childcare. Miss Cherie’s career in Early Childhood began in 2015 and holds a Bachelor of Foundation Phase. Miss Cherie has been apart of the Kids Capers family since 2020.

What does Miss Cherie love most about working for Kids Capers Childcare?

Miss Cherie loves that Kids Capers is a home away from home. Children are the forefront of everything we do, which is what Miss Cherie strongly believes in. Working with a team of like minded educators who share the same passion.

What is Miss Cherie passionate about in the Early Years?

Miss Cherie feels priviledged to be an integral part of the first 5 years of a childs life, as this is the foundation to their development and learning. It’s the sheer joy of seeing children learn and accomplish milestones that is so rewarding. Teaching for Miss Cherie is such an exciting career where no day is the same and having the privilege to be an influence on the further of today’s children is humbling.

What made Miss Cherie apply for the Company Inclusion Leader Role?

Miss Cherie applied for the Inclusion Leader role as she thought this was an amazing role to progress in her career. Miss Cherie advocates for Early Intervention and supporting children to meet their needs and individual skillset.

What does Miss Cherie like doing outside of Kids Capers Childcare?

Outside of work, Miss Cherie loves spending time outdoors camping and going to the beach with her family.

Tammy Lockyer

Miss Tammy is our Quality Leader for Kids Capers Childcare. Miss Tammy’s career in Early Childhood began in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Education. Miss Tammy has been apart of the Kids Capers family since 2017.

What does Miss Tammy love most about working for Kids Capers Childcare?

Miss Tammy loves that we have the autonomy to create our vision for an Early Childhood Service. We are also given opportunities to develop our skills throughout professional development and collaborations within our community.

What is Miss Tammy passionate about in the Early Years?

Miss Tammy believes all children deserve the opportunity to have their passions and personalities embraced and fostered, and to become a part of a welcoming community. To have someone who believes in them and will be their advocate when they are away from their family.
